Manchester United Ryan Giggs is determined to take the Premier League title back off Chelsea this season. The 36 year old midfielder is preparing for yet another top flight campaign with the Red Devils, having started his United first-team career in the 1990/91 season. Sir Alex Ferguson's men were pipped to the post by Carlo Ancelotti's team last term, and Giggs is hungry for another piece of silverware.
"It was disappointing last year to lose out to Chelsea by one point, but we're looking forward to this season," he told SkySports. "We want to try and win it back, we know it's going to be difficult, there's a lot of good teams about, a lot of good players, but we'll be up there in the mix and hopefully we can end the season with a title."
On who he thinks will be United's biggest rivals, Giggs cited the usual names and believes the force from the other half of Manchester United could prove powerful if City gel quickly. The Blues have added a number of players to their squad this summer, and Giggs thinks the Eastlands outfit are one of many strong sides in the top-flight.
He added: "It's a similar scenario to last year really. They've brought in so many quality players, it's just whether they can gel, how quick they gel if they do gel quickly obviously they'll be up there. "But there's City, Tottenham did well last year, and then Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and ourselves."
