Edwin Van Der Sar - Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar is reportedly looking to earn a contract extension that would keep him at Old Trafford for another year.

Van der sar put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal during the summer, and The Mirror claims that there is a clause in his contract that allows him to remain for another season if he should make 30 appearances this season.

It has been reported that the former Ajax man is now keen on reaching the threshold and securing his future at the club, and is thought to be looking to do so by making appearances on the European stage.

However, it is believed that manager Sir Alex Ferguson is pondering over giving his deputy Tomasz Kuszczak a run out during the group stage of the Champions League.
Van der Sar turns 40 at the end of October.
