Inter Milan coach Walter Mazzarri is looking to bolster his attack, with the club struggling for goals this season, and the former Napoli boss sees the 27-year-old as a useful addition to his squad.
Inter Milan are on the brink of signing Manchester United winger Luis Nani on a loan deal until the end of the season and the option to make the switch permanent at the end.
Luis Nani signed a new contract with Manchester United until June 2018 last summer but United are ready to offload the winger as he is deemed surplus to requirements, although they would prefer a straight transfer over a temporary deal.
The Portugal Inter Milannational has found it difficult to get regular first-team action at United, starting only five Premier League games under new manager David Moyes.
